Moon Sweepers Conveyor Belt Not Working: 3 Fixes
If a Moon Sweepers conveyor stops at a merger, or a container vanishes into the base and pays nothing, you are hitting a day-one bug. Nothing in the Steam news feed says it is fixed. The steps below are what players did, not an official repair.
Symptoms players describe
Dust rides the belt and stops in front of a merger or splitter. The host can use a merger that a joining player cannot. Containers enter a base port, never get registered, and disappear without pay. Stone and sand on a belt do not auto-sell even when plain dust does. That last one may be a separate bug.
| Symptom | Likely cause (player) | What they tried | Still happens? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stops at merger | Sync: host works, client does not | Let the host place it | Until a patch |
| Container vanishes, no pay | Manual intake still has leftover dust | Empty the inside port | Reported fixed for that base |
| Splitter will not switch | It alternates by itself | Delete one belt to force a path | By design, maybe |
| Stone or sand unsold | Auto-sell only credits dust | Sell those by hand with E+F | Open |
Workarounds, in the order people posted them
Empty the manual intake inside the base before the outside belt delivers. One reply says a leftover in that slot stops the port from counting new containers.
Have the host place mergers and splitters. Joining players report their own placements do nothing while the host’s work.
A splitter alternates outputs on its own. There is no switch in the UI. To send everything one way, remove the other belt.
Belt height is Ctrl plus the scroll wheel. A lower belt accepts a capsule you place, without a throw. If mergers keep eating cargo, skip them and run one belt straight into the hub.
Questions
Did a patch fix conveyor belts?
No public patch note exists as of October 24, 2026. Assume the bug is still there.
Why does the merger work for me and not my friend?
Players say the host’s merger runs and the client’s does not. Let the host place it.
How do I change splitter direction?
You don’t. Players say it alternates. Pull one belt off if you need a single path.
