Moon Sweepers Review: Mixed, and Why
Moon Sweepers is Mixed on Steam: 235 English-store reviews, 68% positive, on October 24, 2026. Buy it at $7.64 if you want a short co-op cleaning toy. Skip it if you want shared upgrades or a deep automation game.
The score, and what it is not
Concurrent players were 5,208 at 06:49 UTC on October 24. That is people online, not copies sold. Steam does not show a sales total, and I will not estimate one. There are 33 achievements, 13 of them rare.

What the helpful reviews actually say
JimSum, 4.9 hours, 83 helpful marks: “Fun and relaxing game with a very peaceful soundtrack, however virtually unplayable multiplayer due to requiring each player to purchase upgrades individually… it’s across all upgrades, even those that impact economy and logistics.”
Jersey, 9.5 hours, 57 helpful marks: conveyor belts stop moon dust from being deposited, the dust vanishes, and you lose the money you should have made.
乐乐, 8.3 hours, wrote in Chinese that the toothbrush camera is dizzying, buildings cannot be moved, and demolishing a garage deletes the vehicles and their upgrades.
A 16.9-hour review says the first 30 minutes are flat, automation fails to carry the game after two hours, and processed goods top out near seven times raw dust. Ukeshie, 8.5 hours, adds expensive upgrades, a 75% demolition refund, robots under 5% of a player’s output, and a day-night cycle of about an hour.
Who should buy it this week
The repeated praise is the quiet music, the sight of cleaned ground, and the joke of a huge crew with toothbrushes. That matches a weekend at $7.64. It does not match a group that wants one shared tech tree, or a player who wants Factorio-style automation.
Refund rules are Steam’s, not something this page can sweeten. If the camera makes you ill in the first hour, the motion-sickness page lists the three settings players changed before they refunded.
Questions
Is Moon Sweepers worth it?
At $7.64, yes for a short relaxed co-op session. No if your group needs shared upgrades or a long automation campaign.
How many people are playing?
5,208 concurrent players at 06:49 UTC on October 24, 2026. That number moves all day. It is not a sales figure.
Why do two storefronts show different review counts?
English showed 235 and Chinese showed 225 at the same check. I treat that as a language filter, not two different games.
